THE NAVIGATOR COMPANY ASKS FOR ANOTHER WFU PAPER PRICE HIKE IN EUROPE

Navigator is set to increase woodfree uncoated paper prices in Europe by 8-15 per cent due to increasing costs and shigh demand amid supply limitations.

Portuguese pulp, tissue and fine paper manufacturer The Navigator Company announced today that it will increase again its woodfree uncoated (WFU) paper prices in Europe. The price hike amounts to 8-15 per cent and applies for all deliveries as of 1 March.

The new price list is said to have a maximum validity of two months due to market conditions volatility.

"This decision was taken due to unprecedent times that the market is experiencing with a continuous cost increase in all relevant manufacturing inputs, as well as logistics, several abnormal disruptions that keep limiting supply and unparallel order book in the industry," the company said by way of explanation.
