BEAUMONT MORGAN DEVELOPMENTS GOES INTO ADMINISTRATION

Documents filed at Companies House yesterday confirm Begbies Traynor is now in charge of the £47m turnover contractor.

BMD is the construction delivery partner of Fortis Developments.

BMD has been building the Fortis Quay residential scheme in Salford where the latest two towers are nearing completion.

Concerned subcontractors have been contacting the Enquirer since before Christmas as fears grew over the contractor’s future.

One said: “Contractors across the North West have been chasing them for unpaid bills.”

Latest accounts for BMD for the year to March 27 2020 show a pre-tax profit of £67,433 from a turnover of £47.18m with the company employing 61 staff.

Begbies Traynor said: “As a result of the pandemic and the well-publicised inflationary cost pressures affecting the construction industry Beaumont Morgan Developments Limited has ceased to trade and was placed into administration on 13th January 2022, with Asher Miller and Stephen Katz, both of this firm, appointed as Joint Administrators.

“We are currently working with our appointed agents to conduct an assessment of the company’s contracts and other assets, and will deliver our report and Statement of Proposals to creditors within eight weeks of our appointment.”
